Time seemed to stop when I got my diagnosis of breast cancer. I was currently a stay at home mom with two little girls at the age of 32. I didn’t know what to expect or how to proceed. What I love most about United in Pink was that they were not just there for me as the survivor but also for my family. They were a blessing from the start by filling my freezer so that when I got out of surgery, I didn’t have to worry how I was going to put meals on the table. From the very start they have supported us as a family from those meals, to the kids in pink camp and the monthly events. Cancer didn’t just affect me the survivor, but it affected my whole family and I’m so blessed with this organization that sees that and supports us all.
