About United in Pink
United in Pink was founded in Macon, Georgia in 2007 with the mission of supporting families affected by a breast cancer diagnosis. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for the survivor and their families by addressing their unique physical, psychological, relational and educational needs.
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among Georgia females.
Family members are also greatly affected by a cancer diagnosis. For example, children who have a parent diagnosed with cancer are more likely to develop emotional, social, cognitive, behavioral and physical problems. We strive to work with each family member to reduce their fears and increase their ability to cope with the changes in their home and in their lives.
United in Pink is funded by individual and corporate donors and through our annual fundraisers. All of our programs and services are offered at no charge to the families we serve.
Most likely someone you know, and maybe someone you love, has been touched by breast cancer. It is our goal to enrich the lives of these loved ones and to strengthen their families through our programs and services. Join us as we strive to bring together breast cancer survivors, family members, volunteers, donors, medical professionals and supporters and make them UNITED IN PINK.
