Who We Are

Mission Statement

We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for breast cancer survivors and their families by addressing their unique physical, psychological, relational and educational needs.

Our Story

United in Pink was originally founded as Bunko for Breast Cancer in May 2005.

It began as a fundraiser hosted by a local survivor as an outreach and token of appreciation to the caregivers and community that supported her during her battle with breast cancer.

In 2007, Bunko for Breast Cancer incorporated and became a 501c3 non-profit organization. Its mission was and continues to be to support the entire family affected by a breast cancer diagnosis.

In 2011, the organization changed its name to United in Pink. Our mission focuses on survivorship and quality of life for families affected by a breast cancer diagnosis. Our programs, services and resources continue to expand and adapt to the needs of the families we serve.

United in Pink provides unique services to all members of the family. Partnerships are critical to the success of this organization while being careful not to duplicate services already offered in the communities it serves. All of United in Pink’s programs and services are offered at no charge and have no barriers to access.

In honor of its beginning, the organization continues to host its annual Bunko for Breast Cancer fundraiser.

United in Pink began as the result of one woman’s determination to share her journey with others and to acknowledge that survivorship affects the entire family.
